About the school

About Us

A CBSE institution built on its own land in the hills above Shimla — founded to give the town an exemplary, quality school.

JCB Public School is situated at a height of 6,500 feet above sea level. Standing on its own land, amid a lush green valley with a serene, pollution-free, eco-friendly environment, the school supports the physical, mental, social and cultural development of every child. Over the years it has emerged as an institution with a unique education programme that keeps pace with today's developments.

It is a popular English-medium school from Nursery to +2, affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. Its founder, Mrs Kushal Malhotra, was deeply motivated to set up — in a rapidly expanding Shimla town — an institution that would be exemplary, imparting quality education comparable to the other reputed institutions in the country.

Our four houses

The house system

The whole school — day students and boarders alike — is divided into four houses. Inter-house competitions are held regularly in sports, general knowledge and other co-curricular activities, training students in self-governance and responsibility.
